During his twenty years of government service, Mr. Simpson received extensive training in several disciplines; due to this broad education and his drive to keep his knowledge up-to-date, he has delivered presentations covering a great number of fields. His presentation topics are divided into four major areas: Motivational, Business, Islam, and Politics.

 

  • Motivational Talks

Life in a Box - Mr Simpson's motivational talks are based on his self-help book Life in a Box. His book covers life in a cubical for corporate workers. The book also covers corporate tenet paradox and corporate non sequitur training ideas. His presentations are quite entertaining for employees and very informative for management.

  • Business Topics

 

Culture Shock - In this presentation he describes the sense of confusion, uncertainty and feelings of anxiety people experience when exposed to an alien culture and environment without adequate preparation. He has delivered this presentation to Jeffrey Dresser and Motorola employees who were traveling to China. (This can be a 1-hour presentation or a 5-hour course)

 

Instructor Training - Mr. Simpson has delivered instructor training to employees of Siemens, Motorola, Jeffrey Dresser, Bell Helicopter, and the US Navy. (This is a 5-hour presentation)

 

Presentation Skills - In this presentation our speaker covers the use of Microsoft Power Point in conjunction with public speaking techniques. (This is a 5-hour presentation; however, we offer a one hour crash course)

 

Leadership - In this presentation our speaker covers the basic concepts of leadership in today's business workplace. He covers the concepts and necessity of company loyalty and its effect on productivity. (This can be a 1-hour presentation or a 5-hour course}

 

Writing - Our speaker has written more than 300 technical manuals for IBM, Motorola, Siemens, Dresser Industries, Coulter, Racal-Milgo, and many other companies. He has instructed writing and publication classes and seminars in Ohio, Texas, and Florida.

 

Terrorism - Mr. Simpson was trained in Physical Security at the U.S. Army's training center in Oberammergau, Germany and at the Military Police School in Fort Gordon, Georgia. He also graduated at the top of his class in explosives training at the U.S. Army's training center at Vilseck, Germany. One presentation is directed towards business people who are going to travel to countries where they are likely to be terrorist. A second presentation is directed toward companies inside and outside the USA and presents guidelines on how to minimize exposure. (Presentation time depends on company needs and the level of exposure expected.)

 

  • Islamic Topics

 

Politics of Religion - This presentation examines the entanglement of politics, customs, and religion in Middle East societies, past and present.

 

Psychology of Islam - Mr. Simpson has studied the Qur'an, Islam, and Middle East culture for the past twenty years and provides an insight to the problems Westerners have when dealing with Muslims.

  • Political Topics

 

War in Iraq -  Mr. Simpson draws on his twenty year military experiences and military training for his presentations on the military. He proves that he understands the difference between the problems inherent to war and the problems caused by poor military planning and management. He has studied the military operations and tactics of Clausewitz, Sun Tzu, Shambala, Musashi, and Mao Tse-Tung; he completed the academic training for Special Forces troops at the Institute for Military Assistance at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

 

Iran - Mr. Simpson uses his book Ten Months in Iran as the training vehicle for this one hour presentation designed to acquaint his audience with the basic problems we in the West have in understanding Islamic culture and religion.

Socio-Political Concepts of Islam - Mr. Simpson has studied the Qur'an, Islam, and Middle East culture for twenty years; in this presentation, he examines the origins of Islamic ideas and practices. He also explains why Westerners have such a great deal of difficulty understanding Islamic culture and why Muslims find it impossible to understand Americans.
