Mr. Simpson was a military man for twenty years and his presentations on the military prove that he understands the difference between the problems inherent to war and problems caused by poor military planning, leadership, and management. He was trained in and pursued independent studies in special warfare, psychological warfare, and military security. While stationed in Germany with the 2nd Armored Cavalry he trained the unit's Aero Rifle Platoon in combat-in-cities and combat-in-forest techniques.
Mr. Simpson's presentations on the Middle East provide insight to current world events and our relationships with the Middle Eastern countries of Iran and Iraq. He has lived and worked in a number of Muslim countries and has studied Islamic culture and religion. He has written a book about Iran describing his experiences with Iranians and living in an Islamic culture while serving as a test pilot and ground school instructor for Bell Helicopter in Isfahan, Iran. Meet the Speaker: John F. Simpson MA, BS, AE
Mr. Simpson is an experienced public speaker with 35 years of experience in providing informational, motivational, political, and instructional presentations for corporations and colleges. He is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie public speaking and management courses; he also helped teach the courses to Motorola employees in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Simpson has developed and delivered training classes for Motorola, Siemens, Bell Helicopter, and Florida's leading real estate training school, Gold Coast Schools.
During his twenty years of military service he worked, lived, and traveled through twenty-five countries. He worked for the U.S. Army's Criminal Investigating Division (CID) and for Military Intelligence (MI) in Nuremburg, Germany; during President Johnson's South East Asia tour; he was assigned to President Johnson's White House staff in Wellington, New Zealand as a security team leader. He was trained in physical security, explosive ordnance disposal, counter insurgency operations, and psychological warfare. He has a Master's degree in English, a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, and an Associates degree in electronic engineering.
